Yajuj and Majuj in Islam? The origin and end of this mysterious nation

Yajuj and Majuj are an eternal mystery and eternal truth in Islam. Because there is a clear description of Yajuj and Majuj in the Holy Qur’an and many authentic hadiths. Hence, there is no least room for believers to deny their reality.

In this way, there is no scope to interpret the precise meaning of Quranic verses and hadiths differently. On the other hand, admitting the existence of Yajuj and Majuj, their presence cannot be exaggerated.

Both parties must take a position that the Qur’an and the Hadith support. With this in mind, we are entering the stage of answering people’s questions about the role of Yajuz and Majuz in Islam.

Who are Yajuj and Majuj in Islam?

Yajuj and Majuj are a species of humanity from among the children of Adam-Alayhis Salaam. Qur’an and Hadith have expressed similar views about them.

Narrated by Imam Bukhari – Rahimahullah – Abu Saeed Khudri – Radiyallahu Anhu –

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:

‘Allah Ta’ala will speak on the Day of Resurrection, O Adam, (Adam will answer) I am always present at your call, O our Lord. I am eternally fortunate in your obedience.

Then it will be announced in a loud voice – Allah has commanded you to expel the people of Hell from your descendants.

Adam will say, O my Lord, who are the people of Hell? He would say every one thousand to nine hundred and ninety-nine.

This is the time when a pregnant woman will have an abortion. The hair of a small child will ripen. And then you will see people insane, but in reality, they are not insane. But God’s punishment is terrible. ‘

(The narrator says) The words became painful for the people present, ‘causing their appearance to change.

Then the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, ‘(Those) will be nine hundred and ninety-nine from among the Gog and Magog. And (Paradise) will be one of you. ‘(Sahih Bukhari – 6065)

In this Hadith, Gog and Magog are said to be the descendants of Adam (peace be upon him). So Yajuj Majuj belongs to the class of people.

Thus, the history of Noah (peace be upon him) narrated in the Holy Qur’an also proves that Gog and Magog belong to the category of human beings.

Yajuj and Majuj in Quran?

Among the descriptions of Yajuz-Majuj in the Qur’an and Hadith, we present here the Qur’anic verses and hadiths that are more useful and helpful for the readers to understand.

In the Holy Quran, Allah Ta’ala says –

وَجَعَلْنَا ذُرِّيَّتَهُ هُمُ الْبَاقِين

Translation – And I have left only his (Noah’s) descendants. (Surat as-Saffat: 6)

In his commentary on this verse, Ibn Kathir (may Allah have mercy on him) mentions an asr in the source of Ibn’ Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) where he says:

لم تبق إلا ذرية نوح عليه السلام

Translation – (After the Great Flood in the Age of Noah) No one was left (alive) except the children of Noah (peace be upon him). (Tafsir Ibn Kathir, Surah As-Saffat, verse 6)

Prominent Tabi’i Qatada – Rahimahullah – said –

الناس كلهم من ذرية نوح عليه السلام

Translation: All people are descendants of Noah (peace be upon him). (Tafsir Ibn Kathir, Surah As-Saffat, verse 6)

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said in a hadeeth to Mustadra al-Haakim:

ولد نوح ثلاثة سام و حام و يافث أبو الروم

Translation: Noah had three children – Hum, Sam, and Yafis Abu Rome. (Mustadraku Alas Sahihain Lil Hakim, 2004, Sahih)

Yajuj and Majuj in Hadith

Noah (peace be upon him) had three children – Sam, Ham, and Yaris.

And the descendants of Sam are the Arabs, the Persians, and the Romans. The descendants of Ham are Sudan, Barbar, and Kibbutz.

The descendants of Yafis are the Turks, Sakaliba, and Yajuj Majuj. ‘(Mustadraku Alas Sahihain Lil Hakim, 6429)

The above verses, hadiths, and nonsense prove that Yajuj Majuj belongs to the category of human beings.

They are descendants of Adam and Noah – peace be upon them. So all those messages are useless and baseless where –

Gog and Magog are the giant species that gave birth to Adam (peace be upon him) from the semen that fell to the ground due to nightmares during sleep.

They will be so huge that they spread one of their ears on the ground to complete the work of the mattress and the other ear to form a coating on the body. There is so much more to Yajuj Majuj. Everything is a fabricated story.

Because they are the children of Adam (peace be upon him) and belong to the group of human beings, they will naturally have the same shape and form as human beings.

Where is Yajuj Majuj?

Currently, Yazul is behind the wall of Zulqarnain, but no one but Allah knows where the wall of Zulqarnain is. But it is believed that they are hidden in a massive wall at the southern end of the world. And Allah has made them invisible.

Narrated Hudhayfah Ibn Acid Al-Ghifari:

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) looked at us, and we talked. He said what are you talking about? They said, “We are discussing the Hour.”

He said: The Hour will not come until you see the ten signs. Then he mentioned the ten signs –

Smoke, Dajjal, Dabba, the rising of the sun from the west, the descent of Isa Ibn Maryam (peace be upon him), the appearance of Gog and Magog, three landslides – one will be in the east, one will be in the west, and the other will be in Jaziratul Arab. And finally, the fire that will rise from Yemen and lead people to their gathering place. (Sahih Muslim, 648)

Why can’t science find Yajuj and Majuj?

Has anyone ever claimed that all the unknown in the world is known? No one has claimed that.

On the contrary, new mysteries of the world are constantly being unveiled. People are learning something new in the unknown.

So Yajuj Majuj and their wall can be kept as all the mysteries of the world that are still unknown. Everyone will know when the time comes. An example is the word ‘This’ in the field described in the Holy Qur’an.

Allah Ta’ala, by His infinite power, confined the children of Israel to that place for forty years.

No one saw them because Allah Ta’ala kept their place hidden from everyone’s sight.

So, no one could see the place. As you can see, they were not supposed to roam there for forty years. Thus, Allah has made the business of Gog and Magog invisible.

So no one can find that place before the appointed time. You can watch this video to hear Aker’s explanation of the disappearance of the wall of Yajuj Majuj.
