What is the haram relationship?

An extramarital love exchange between a boy and a girl is called a haram relationship in Islam.

The depth of their relationship, be it physical or verbal or text. Everything is included in the haram relationship.

In other words, any relationship between a man and a woman that Islam does not approve – of is a haram relationship. Like girlfriend, boyfriend, love together, love game, etc.

In Islam, marriage is the only way to establish a halal relationship between a man and a woman. Because marriage is not just a physical relationship but the foundation of a family.

The Messenger of Allah, may God bless him and grant him peace, said:

“When a man and a woman meet in solitude, their third partner is Satan.”

Allah says in the Holy Quran:

O you who believe, do not follow the footsteps of Satan, which follows in the footsteps of Satan. Shaytaan commands him to do obscene and unjust things’ (Surah Noor-21).

In the hadith, one man and one woman are meant for men and women who are not mahram. Ghare Mahram means those who can be married.

And Shaytan starts plotting when a man is alone with a non-mahram woman.

Meanwhile, following the footsteps of Satan is forbidden in the verses of the Holy Quran. For this reason, it is forbidden for men and women to be alone.

Definition of the Haram relationship in the Holy Quran

The Holy Qur’an declares the relationship between a man and a woman without marriage as haram. Even the Qur’an instructs a woman not to raise her voice when speaking to a man.

Allah says in the Holy Quran:

Translation: O wives of the Prophet, you are not like other women; If you fear Allah, don’t talk politely and attractively to strangers. Because in one’s heart, there is attachment, and desire is created. Speak politely. (Surah Al-Ahzab: 32)

So Thus, men and women are clearly instructed to look at each other. In this context, Allah Ta’ala

The Holy Quran says:

Translation: O Messenger, tell the believers to lower their gaze and guard their private parts. It has sanctity for them. Surely Allah is Aware of what they do. (Surah An-Noor: 30)

Haram relationship punishment?

A forbidden boyfriend and girlfriend relationship has been termed Zina in the hadith. Fornication is a great sin. According to many scholars, a person who commits adultery becomes a kaafir.

Suppose he is not a kaafir, according to pure opinion. But all the scholars agree that the haram relationship is a great sin.

List of punishments for Haram relationships

  • The prayers of a person engaged in haram are not accepted.
  • The taste of his worship is lost.
  • Moves away from the mercy of God.
  • Increases the scope of sin.
  • Social status is destroyed.
  • Peace of mind is gone.

These punishments are temporary. And it is only for relationships. But if they get involved in a physical relationship, their punishment will be more severe.

Unmarried, they will be whipped a hundred times; if married, they will be stoned to death. Of course, only the Islamic court has the power to give this verdict. The judge will be obliged to give the verdict by taking evidence in a specific process.

On the other hand, if they die without repenting to Allah, then for them is the Fire of Hell in the Hereafter.

How to leave a Haram relationship?

The only way to get out of a haram relationship is to seek the help of Allah Ta’ala. All the desires of the mind are presented to Allah.

And he tries to get out of this relationship by praying to Allah after the five daily prayers.

But keep in mind that if the relationship is ongoing, Allah will not accept the prayer because the prayers of the person involved in haram are not accepted.

Therefore, the relationship must be severed before seeking help from Allah. And if it is not possible to break the relationship, then you have to get married to her quickly.

Even if you can’t afford to marry at home, you must get married immediately. And Then their relationship will become halal.

And for the haram that has occurred in the past, one must repent to Allah Ta’ala with a sincere heart.
