In one of the verses of the Qur’an, Allah Ta’ala highlights the importance of clothing and says, “O humanity! We have arranged for your dress to cover the part of your body that is guilty of revealing, and it is also a means of beauty. The garment of righteousness is the best. These are among the guidance of Allah so that people take advice. (Surah: Araf, verse: 26)
My husband wants me to wear revealing clothes in Islam.
My husband wants me to wear revealing clothes. It is not acceptable in Islam. First of all, you are a Muslim girl, so you must wear Islamic clothes. Otherwise, you will be a sinner.
On the other hand, if you wear non-Islamic clothes, your husband should advise you to wear Islamic clothes. It is the husband’s duty because God has made the husband the director of the world.
So if any husband sees his wife wearing indecent or un-Islamic clothing, he must order her to wear Islamic clothing. If a husband does not call his wife to wear Islamic dress, then he will be considered a sinner.
So your duty is when your husband wants you to wear revealing clothes in Islam, then you should do it because Allah has commanded you to obey your husband.
Why should you wear Islamic revealing clothes if your husband wants?
The first right is obedience to the husband in lawful actions and orders. The husband is the responsible person of the family. His loyalty to family and marital affairs is essential for his wife. For example, the principal of a school college, office manager or director, etc., must be obeyed by all others so if the husband wants you to wear Islam-revealing clothes.
The wife is usually younger than the husband. Just as sons and daughters are bound to obey the orders of their parents (in legal matters) in matrimony, it is the natural behavior of the wife to follow the orders and instructions of her husband in the house of her father-in-law.
Moreover, religion also has an additional status for the husband. Therefore, to maintain love, harmony, and order, the elder must be considered the leader. Every company and enterprise should follow this rule. So why would it be the subjugation of women in the case of husband and wife? For these reasons, if the husband wants you to wear Islam-revealing clothes.
However, the husband’s obedience in wrongful and illegal matters is unlawful. Because Allah has not given unfair and unjust authority to those He has given power, no one can use his authority and position illegally. Moreover, being a ruler does not only mean ruling; Rather, it is the great duty of the master to carry the burden of responsibility properly.
