And a woman wearing a hijab is like a pearl inside an oyster. He has a personality. There is value. Her beauty and femininity are reserved for one person only.

So, Islam has made Hijab compulsory for Muslim women. So that a woman can protect her dignity and live in society, but those who question – will it be a sin if you don’t wear a Hijab? Is it Haram not to wear a Hijab?

I am writing this post for them. Here, I will discuss the answer in detail. Hopefully, this will open your closed heart. You will understand why not wearing a hijab is Haram.

Is it Haram not to wear a Hijab?

Yes, it is Haram not to wear a Hijab. Every adult Muslim woman must wear the Hijab when leaving the house. It is Haram to violate any other mandatory provision. Therefore, it is Haram not to wear a Hijab.

All the conditions imposed on women regarding movement, dress, a dressppearance are only to preserve them. Islam has prescribed the Hijab to block the ways of disaster or harm that may be caused due to exercise, clothing, nothingplay of beauty.

It is not because it will interfere with women’s freedom, but the primary purpose of the Hijab law is to protect women from the lustful eyes of others and to preserve their purity and beauty standards.

Not wearing a Hijab is Haram in the Quran

In the Holy Qur’an, Allah Ta’ala ordered Muslim women to wear a Hijab. This is an obligatory provision for women from Allah.

So, it is Haram to go against this instruction, i.e., not wearing a Hijab. One of the fundamental principles of Islam is that it is forbidden to neglect an obligatory duty. We will get proof of that from the following verses.

Regarding the Hijab, Allah says:

‘O Prophet, inform your wives, daughters, and the believing women that they should draw some of their cloaks over themselves.

This will make it easier to recognize them. As a result, they will not be harassed. And Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. ‘(Surat al-Ahzab: 59)

In another verse, he said,

(O Prophet) Tell the believing women to lower their gaze and guard their modesty. They should not show their beauty without what is usually expressed. (Surah Noor – 31)

In addition to the verses and hadiths discussed, many other hadiths prove that Muslim women must wear a Hijab.

And it is not lawful for a believer to disobey the command of Allah Ta’ala. In this regard, Allah Ta’ala says in the Holy Quran,

If Allah and His Messenger give instructions on any matter, no Muslim man or woman has the right to disobey them. And whoever disobeys Allah and His Apostle, he indeed strays off into error. ‘(Surat al-Ahzab: 36)

It is clear from this verse that it is Haram to disobey the command of Allah Ta’ala. And since the power to wear the Hijab has come from Allah, not wearing the Hijab means breaking Allah’s order. It is Haram.

Not wearing a Hijab is Haram in hadith

The hadiths have guidance on the Hijab in various ways. The Hijab has been made obligatory in many hadiths. Again, many hadiths mention that it is Haram not to wear a Hijab and the punishment for abandoning it.

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:

Women wear hijabs. When he came out without a hijab, Satan looked up at him. (Tirmidhi: 1163)

The Messenger of Allah, may God bless him and grant him peace, said:

I have not seen two classes of hellish people (meaning they have not come yet. They will come later).

Type 1: A community with a whip like a cow’s tail; with that whip, they beat people (unjustly).

Type 2: Women who are naked while clothed. They will attract others to themselves, and they will be attracted to others. The hair on his head will be like a camel’s hump. They will neither enter Paradise nor smell Paradise. But the fragrance of Paradise can be found from far away. (Muslim – 5445)

Considering the harmful consequences of not wearing a Hijab and its punishment, Muslim scholars declare not wearing hijab haram.

Therefore, a Muslim woman shouldn’t abandon the Hijab. Because enjoying temporary pleasures in this world, it is not wise to be the fuel of Hell in the Hereafter.

Why does Haram not wear a Hijab?

The lack of the Hijab is the beginning of the worst sins in society, like obscenity, impudence, shamelessness, adultery, adultery, and murder.

In a society without a hijab system, eve-teasing, rape, and sexual harassment are rampant.

As a result, unrest in the family, marital quarrels, and various scandals, including women’s scandals, occur. Personal and family life is disrupted.

Girls without Hijab are the worst women in the world. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said about them:

The worst of your wives are those who walk without Hijab. (Bayhaqi: 13256)

Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated,

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) cursed all women who resembled men. That is, he walks without a hijab. (Abu Dawood Sharif – 4096)

Most importantly, if you do not wear a hijab, the law of Allah is disobeyed. And the consequence of disobeying Allah in Hell.

Benefits of Hijab

The veil is not only necessary for women; Hijab rules are equal for men and women. In this verse, Hijab is mentioned as a reason for the purity of the hearts of believing men and women.

Because when the eye sees, The heart desires it then. And that is why not looking is the reason for the purity of nature and the precise means of surviving the fitna.

Again, Hijab destroys the evil instincts of weak-hearted people. It is proved in the verses of the Qur’an. For this reason, women will never talk to men politely and attractively. Allah says:

O wives of the Prophet, you are not like any other women. If you practice righteousness, do not speak (to others) in soft tones, lest he who has a disease in his heart is tempted. And you will talk justly.’ (Surah Ahzab: verse 32)
